Typed letter on Englemere, Ascot, headed paper, signed Roberts. FM. dated 14th October 1914 and sent to R.N.Chadwick, Hill Cross Close, Littleover, Derby. The letter reads: Dear Mr Chadwick, Please accept my best thanks for your handsome gift for the use of the Cavalry Reserve Regiments. I hope you may feel rewarded for your generosity by the knowledge that you are facilitating the training of the reinforcements which are needed to support our gallant soldiers at the Seat of War. Note: Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, Born 30th September 1832. Died 14th November 1914, one month after this letter was sent
